ELVIO COGNO IS A NINE TIME WINNER AS WINE & SPIRITS MAGAZINE TOP 100 WINERIES OF THE YEAR
Novello, Piemonte – 16 September 2020
Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore announce the inclusion of the winery for a ninth year as one of Wine & Spirits Magazine’s 2020 TOP 100 WINERIES OF THE YEAR.
This awards fills the Cogno Family and team with huge gratification, as we are always more focused on constantly research a growing quality for our wines. The stylistic precision, linked to a sustainable productive vision, accompany Valter Fissore, who achieved his 30th harvest, in the production of wines which retrace Elvio Cogno history, and of his homonymous Master and Founder. The respect towards terroir and autochthonous varieties, together with the need of innovation represent solid principles on which we build our work day by day, with the strong willingness to produce wines which we like to think as a concentration of identity. Of these solid principles we want to be actor, both right here and in the future.
While thanking the Editorial Staff of Wine&Spirits, we are pleased to participate at the Top100 event in San Francisco which, after 16 years, will be taken virtual with the Top 100 Sessions, from October 14 through 23. Each 30-minute Session will feature two Top 100 winemakers, inviting attendees to taste along with them as they discuss their top-scoring wines with Wine & Spirits editors and guest sommeliers. Wine & Spirits’ Top 100 Sessions are a benefit for Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation, supporting restaurant workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As in the past, the event will also support NY/NJ Baykeeper and San Francisco Baykeeper, working to sustain the health and integrity of the Hudson-River and SF Bay-Area watersheds.
