Bruce Sanderson revisits the 2012 vintage and reviews the 2012 Barolo Ravera

On the occasion of the last edition of Vinitaly, Elvio Cogno winery had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive wine tasting organized by Wine Spectator and curated by Bruce Sanderson.

During the event, the senior editor of the renowned magazine tasted the 2012 Barolos produced by a small group of winemakers from Barolo area, including our Barolo Ravera 2012 which was awarded a score of 95 points.

From the Barolo commune we moved to Novello, and Elvio Cogno’s 2012 Barolo Ravera, a wine offering cherry and Strawberry fruit, with wild herbs underneath, mineral, a firm structure and long finish (95 points, non-blind).

It has been a great honor for us to be able to take part in this great tasting and we take this opportunity to thank Wine Spectator and Bruce Sanderson for inviting us to the event.
