August 2021 – From the cellar

Our team worked on different bottlings during the first half of 2021, always following the most favorable moon phases. Firstly they bottled the new vintages of Langhe Nebbiolo Montegrilli, Barbera d’Alba Bricco dei Merli and Barbera d’Alba Pre-Phylloxera, then they continued with the 2020 Langhe Nascetta del Comune di Novello Anas-cëtta in early June.

2020 Langhe Nebbiolo Montegrilli

The excellent 2020 vintage allowed us to harvest healthy and fully ripe grapes which gave birth to fresh and elegant wines, with a clean and intense aroma. The 2020 Langhe Nebbiolo Montegrilli strikes for its easy-to-drink character, its fresh and fruity notes and its good tasting balance.

2019 Barbera d’Alba Bricco dei Merli

The exuberance of the 2019 Barbera d’Alba Bricco dei Merli is irresistible both on the nose and the palate. The delightful nose offers wild berries, plum, violet and blood orange aromas immediately and, then, it gives off intriguing spicy scents. On the palate, after a mineral opening, its freshness and juiciness are able to give a rewarding taste.

2019 Barbera d’Alba Pre-Phylloxera

The 2019 Barbera d’Alba Pre-Phylloxera is a unique wine that thrills thanks to an elegant aromatic profile, given by wild berries, plum and spices aromas which are complicated by balsamic hints. Rich and refined on the palate, it greatly differs from other Barbera wines because of the presence of fine and velvet tannins which help to give structure and flavor complexity to this amazing wine.

2020 Langhe Nascetta del Comune di Novello Anas-cëtta

The latest vintage of Langhe Nascetta del Comune di Novello Anas-cëtta will be released on the market in autumn. The 2020 vintage shows a lovely pale yellow. The aroma is distinctive and is rich in citrus notes, yellow fruit, Mediterranean herbs and mineral scents. With a great aging potential, this deep white wine features an incredible saltiness and a well-integrated freshness.
